Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic psychology graduate to join the learning disability inpatient service. You will work under supervision to deliver psychological support to adults with learning disabilities with complex needs, including assessments and interventions.

Opportunities for service-related research may arise. Experience with adults with learning disabilities in inpatient settings is preferred; the role is part-time and fixed-term for 12 months

Qualifications

• An upper second class honours degree in psychology and eligibility for graduate BPS membership.
• Good knowledge of lifespan psychology in health care and understanding of learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering psychological support to adults with learning disabilities under supervision.
• Conduct assessments and interventions for complex cases under a qualified psychologist.
• Potentially participate in service-related research.
