Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join an inpatient learning disability service. You will work under the supervision of a clinical psychologist to support adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

The role involves carrying out assessments and delivering interventions, with opportunities for research and multidisciplinary collaboration within the LDS inpatient service.

Qualifications

• Upper second-class degree in Psychology with eligibility for graduate BPS membership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychological support under supervision of a clinical psychologist.
• Assist in the delivery of assessments and interventions for adults with learning disabilities.
• Opportunity to engage in service-related research and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Education

Psychology degree (2:1 or above) and eligible for graduate BPS membership
