Job summary

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior psychologist to lead psychological therapies for the inpatient eating disorders service. You will supervise, provide specialist assessment and intervention, and support trauma-informed thinking within the MDT.

The role offers opportunities for leadership development, supervision of staff, and active involvement in service development projects and research activities.

Qualifications

• Essential: Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent prior to 1996) and HCPC registration as Practitioner Psychologist.
• Training: Additional significant post qualification training relevant to the service and job role; supervision of others.
• Experience: Significant post qualification experience including assessment of risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy for individuals with eating disorders in inpatient care.
• Offer clinical supervision to psychological therapists and MDT colleagues.
• Lead consultation and form multidisciplinary teamwork to enhance psychological health.
• Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development.
• Contribute to service development and improvement projects across the service.
