Job summary

Randstad Tuition Services is seeking a Secondary Level Tutor (QTS Preferred) to work around 10 hours weekly, locally, with potential online sessions. You’ll support learners who thrive outside traditional classrooms and tailor each session to their interests and strengths.

You’ll be part of a values-driven team that values human-centered education, offers CPD and community, and welcomes educators with backgrounds in teaching, mentoring or coaching to make a real difference.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher, tutor, youth worker or someone with a background in education/mentoring.
• Experience with learners who are out of mainstream education (SEMH, SEND, EOTAS, AP).
• Creative in approach; tailor sessions to learner’s interests and strengths.
• Empathetic and emotionally intelligent; build trust and confidence.
• Willing to throw out the rulebook when it doesn’t serve the learner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition in core subjects with a flexible, creative, relationship-first approach.
• Plan engaging sessions that meet learners where they are—academically and emotionally.
• Track learner progress beyond grades; focus on confidence, engagement and curiosity.
• Help young people reconnect with the idea that learning can be joyful.
