Job summary

Universal Business Team in Gloucester is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking New Product Development team. You will design and develop cutting-edge products, improve existing ranges, and collaborate across projects using Solidworks Premium, AutoCAD, Revit, and in-house 3D printing.

The role involves ideation through completion, with access to the latest tools and a hands-on culture that values innovation and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in an engineering design environment.
• Proficient in 3D design software, ideally Solidworks.
• Strong communication and ability to meet demanding project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine new product ideas with the team.
• Create and amend 3D models in Solidworks within a PDM environment.
• Produce 2D drawings, BOMs, and maintain engineering documentation.
• Perform FEA and generate safety/compliance reports.
• Support marketing with product renders and animations.
