Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Lichfield, Staffordshire, to join a growing team focused on material handling solutions. You will design and develop mechanical components and equipment from concept to manufacture using Autodesk Inventor.

You will produce detailed drawings, create BOMs and specifications, collaborate with manufacturing and project teams, and ensure designs meet customer requirements and relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and material handling equipment using Autodesk Inventor.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Create BOMs and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to meet requirements.
• Review and improve existing products and systems.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards.
