Job summary

Taxation in Reading is seeking an R&D Tax Assistant Manager to deliver high-quality R&D and Patent Box advice while developing strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the Innovation Tax team.

You will manage a varied portfolio of R&D tax clients, translate complex legislation into commercial guidance, and work with sector specialists across the firm to deliver joined-up advice. ACA/CTA or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working in R&D Tax within an accountancy or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of R&D tax legislation and ability to translate complex issues into commercial advice.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering advice to senior stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with confidence to identify opportunities and contribute to business development.
• Ability to manage your own portfolio while supporting and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of R&D tax clients from engagement to delivery.
• Advising clients on R&D tax relief and Patent Box.
• Building relationships with senior client stakeholders and identifying growth opportunities.
• Collaborating with specialists across the firm to deliver joined-up advice.
• Reviewing work and coaching junior team members.
• Contributing to process improvements, technology and new delivery methods.
• Taking ownership of projects to grow the Innovation Tax team.
