This is an exciting opportunity to enhance Birkbeck’s capabilities in innovation and commercialization. You will play a key role in establishing the new Innovation Support Unit, collaborating closely with colleagues in the Research Office, Finance, and other departments. This role builds on experience in higher education, private, or third sector streams, providing essential services to foster innovation and commercialization across the College.
As a leader, you will demonstrate effective team, organizational, and project management skills, ensuring projects are monitored and reported to the Innovation and Commercialisation Board. You will possess excellent presentation skills, the ability to analyze complex information, and provide strategic advice on innovation projects.
You will also demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and flexibility, supporting your team across various tasks including business partnering, contracts, IP management, budgeting, and course delivery.
Remuneration
Grade 9 of the College's London Pay Scale, which is £61,856 rising to £69,074 per annum. This salary includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance applicable to staff whose primary place of work is in London.
