Job summary

Mott MacDonald are seeking an Innovation Managing/Principal Consultant to lead technical and commercial delivery of innovation initiatives across UK transport, energy and water sectors. You will design innovation approaches, manage client relationships, and drive value on major infrastructure programmes.

You will apply domain knowledge with best practice in innovation management, contribute to thought leadership, and mentor less experienced staff in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading technical service delivery for innovation project teams.
• Consultancy experience 10+ years within UK infrastructure sector.
• Chartered Management Consultant or Chartered Engineer.
• Degree qualified in technical or business discipline.
• Business development winning innovation services with excellent engagement skills.
• Commercial experience of project delivery.
• Experience of ISO 56000 series.
• Agile project management, programme management, strategy development / design thinking.
• Presented at conferences and thought leadership groups.
• Mentoring and coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and commercial delivery of innovation initiatives for client projects.
• Design and implement innovation approaches and management frameworks.
• Progress sustainable innovation across infrastructure programmes and smaller projects.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
• Engage with clients to identify and win innovation opportunities.
