Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Innovation Manager to identify, develop and deliver innovation opportunities within the Sensor Systems and Innovation Divisions. You will bridge business needs, engineering teams and external partners to transform ideas into funded, deliverable projects.

You will coordinate technology scouting, horizon scanning, and external partnerships, supporting business cases, roadmaps and funding applications.

Qualifications

Experience in innovation management, research & technology, or tech partnerships.
Strong communication and influencing skills for senior stakeholders.
Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and partners.
Background in a STEM discipline enabling credible engagement with engineers.
Experience with budgets, financial reporting or governance.
Willingness to travel internationally (e.g., Sweden).
UK National Security Vetting clearance at SC level or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Support identification and development of innovation opportunities for the Sensor Systems and Innovation Divisions.
Lead coordination of funding applications, bids and research proposals with external partners.
Establish and coordinate innovation projects from concept through to delivery and track milestones.
Prepare clear reports, presentations and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
Build relationships with universities, SMEs, research organisations, customers and government bodies.
