Job summary
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSE) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex innovation projects from development through to operational adoption. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and benefits realisation, and drive adoption into standard operations.
The role requires strong governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement in a regulated environment.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering complex projects end‑to‑end.
- Knowledge of governance, stage-gate approaches and earned value management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Financial, commercial and delivery management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex innovation projects from concept to closure with clear delivery plans and governance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and delivery partners across engineering, business analysis, operations and commercial.
- Maintain forecasts, controls, risk management and reporting while maximizing value from investment.
- Drive projects towards adoption, deployment and business-as-usual transitions.
- Shape the innovation pipeline and improve delivery standards across the portfolio.
