Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking an Innovation Project Manager to lead delivery of complex innovation and business improvement workstreams. You will manage plans, budgets and benefits, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure governance controls are in place for reliable delivery and handover.

You will apply waterfall, agile or hybrid methods, manage risks, and support pilots and change activities to realise tangible outcomes for the organisation and its customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable project management qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering complex projects through governance, including budgeting, RAID, approvals, funding, forecasting, reporting, change control, assurance, implementation, closure and benefits handover.
• Experience leading matrix delivery across teams, suppliers and partners with aligned milestones and outcomes.
• Experience working across waterfall, agile or hybrid delivery frameworks with consistent standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of assigned workstreams within complex innovation and business improvement projects within scope, time, cost, quality, risk and governance parameters.
• Manage delivery plans, budgets, forecasts, benefits, ROI tracking and delivery documentation.
• Maintain project controls including RAID logs, milestones and change control; ensure compliance with governance processes.
• Lead cross-functional teams, suppliers and partners; coordinate resources and maintain delivery momentum.
• Apply project delivery methods including waterfall, agile and hybrid to ensure effective delivery.
• Control budgets, forecasts and spend; report variances and ensure value for money and ROI.
• Manage supplier performance and resolve delivery, commercial and contractual issues.
• Coordinate assurance activities, testing, acceptance and service readiness for successful implementation and handover.
• Support pilots, proofs of concept and business adoption with defined objectives and risks.
• Present reports and governance papers using evidence and performance data to support decisions.
