Job summary

Staffline in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will set and run moulding production orders, ensuring high-quality output and contributing to Right First Time manufacturing.

The role reports to the Technical Manager and requires experience with moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation, plus familiarity with ERP systems and Lean principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding Technician.
• Experience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation.
• Familiarity with production or ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.
• Good communication and decision-making ability.
• High attention to detail
• Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirements
• Run production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shift
• Respond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actions
• Carry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and tooling
• Control and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirements
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checks
• Support supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a Supervisor
• Perform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defects
• Ensure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stock
• Support tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projects
• Operate forklift truck when licensed
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
