apetito is seeking an experienced Ingredients Manager to shape how we optimise, manage and introduce ingredients across the business, delivering commercial, operational and quality benefits while supporting growth into our Kitchen West facility.

Initially embedded in a focused project team for 12–18 months, the role will identify opportunities to improve value and reduce complexity, then transition to a broader remit within the development team, leading raw material management and line

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within food manufacturing, in product development, ingredients, technical, quality or project management roles.
• Proven ability to identify and deliver raw material and product optimisation opportunities with measurable benefit.
• Strong project management and organisational skills with experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Commercial mindset balancing cost, quality, customer expectations, operational requirements and compliance.
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience of product assessment, sensory evaluation, trials and validation.

Responsabilités

• Seek and enact a high-impact programme of ingredient, raw material, packaging and finished product opportunities, unlocking measurable benefits across cost, quality and performance.
• Collaborate with Procurement, suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to shape solutions and turn ideas into action.
• Build and manage a clear opportunity pipeline with defined benefits, plans, timings and governance.
• Challenge unnecessary cost and over-specification while safeguarding food safety and compliance.
• Lead hands-on evaluation of ingredients and finished products, using trials and validation to drive decisions.
• Drive approved changes through specification, change control and implementation processes.
