Job summary

Allegis Group seeks an Infrastructure Systems Administrator & Engineer to provide 2nd/3rd line support and improve both on‑prem and cloud infrastructure. The role is hybrid, with 3 days based in Cambridge, and requires willingness to adapt to a variable workload.

You will triage infrastructure tickets, monitor systems, perform maintenance, backups, and vulnerability remediation, while coordinating with 3rd parties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting on-prem and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with AD, Azure, MS365 and Microsoft server products.
• Ability to triage and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities

• Triaging 2nd/3rd line infrastructure tickets and project requests.
• Monitoring and resolving infrastructure and application system issues.
• Performing scheduled and manual systems maintenance, backups, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.

Job description

In your role as our Infrastructure Systems Administrator & Engineer you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by:

• Providing Infrastructure's internal 2nd/3rd line support service.
• Maintaining, securing & improving both on-prem and cloud Infrastructure's.
• Scheduling & executing regular maintenance tasks.

Hybrid Role with 3 days based in Cambridge

We will only consider Candidates within an hour commute of Cambridge.

Responsibilities

• Triaging 2nd line infrastructure support tickets, project requests
• Monitoring-for, triaging & resolving infrastructure & application system issues
• Scheduled & manual systems maintenance, support, monitoring, audit, and reporting (including backup management, vulnerability remediation, configuration management)

Must have Skills;

• AD, Azure, MS365 suite, Hyper-V, RDS, AWS, MFA, SSO, Identity & Access Management.
• Incident, change & problem management (incl. 3rd parties)
• Process-driven ITSM tooling (Jira, ServiceNow or similar)
• Ansible
• DataCentre monitoring & out-of-band hardware management
