Infrastructure Support Engineer (Previous Relevant Experience is Required), Plymouth

Job Overview:

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution according to procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working in a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Assign tickets to technical support, field engineering, and other service providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  6. Coordinate traffic management with providers, control teams, and field resources.
  7. Communicate incident updates to customers.
  8. Collaborate with utility companies regarding power-related network issues.
Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, preferably within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with all levels of seniority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
