Job summary

Professional Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Storeman to join a major infrastructure project in the Littlehampton area. You will manage store and compound areas, receive, check, organise PPE, equipment and materials, and maintain accurate stock records.

With a long-term role on a 5+ year infrastructure project, you will work closely with site management, procurement and project teams to ensure a safe, tidy stores environment and timely replenishment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Storeman/Material Controller/Storesperson on construction/infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing PPE and equipment inventories and logging stock data.
• Strong organisational and administration skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with computerised stock control systems, spreadsheets and databases.
• Previous similar role essential.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, residential environments desirable.
• Good communication and ability to work with multiple project teams.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain store / compound areas across the project.
• Receive, check, organise and issue PPE, equipment and materials.
• Accurately log all stock movements and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
• Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment requirements.
• Ensure equipment and PPE are correctly stored, labelled and accounted for.
• Maintain accurate records using electronic systems and/or spreadsheets.
• Carry out regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Work closely with site management, procurement and project teams.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organised stores environment.
• Ensure company and project procedures are followed at all times.
