Job summary

Professional Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Store manager / Material Controller for a major infrastructure project in Friston (IP17). The role oversees three store areas, ensuring PPE, equipment and materials are logged, controlled and readily available to the project team.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate stock records, monitor stock levels and work closely with site management, procurement and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as Storeman or Material Controller on construction/infrastructure projects.
• Experience with PPE and equipment inventories and logging stock data.
• Strong organisational and administration skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with computerised stock control systems (PURE preferred).
• Experience with a Tier 1 contractor is essential.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, utilities, energy or engineering environments desired.
• Good communication and ability to work with multiple project teams.
• Reliable, proactive, able to work independently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing three separate store areas, ensuring PPE, equipment and materials are accurately recorded, controlled and readily available to the project team.

• Manage and maintain three store areas across the project.
• Receive, check, organise and issue PPE, equipment and materials.
• Accurately log all stock movements and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
• Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Storeman, Material Controller, Storesperson or similar on a construction/infrastructure project.
• Proven experience managing PPE and equipment inventories and accurately logging stock data.
• Strong organisational and administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computerised stock control systems (PURE system preferrable), spreadsheets and databases.
• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor is essential.
• Experience within a large-scale infrastructure, construction, utilities, energy or engineering environment is highly desirable.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple project teams.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
