Job summary

NearTech Search is seeking an Infrastructure and Operations Manager in the UK to own the end-to-end IT estate, from cloud and on-prem infrastructure to governance and security compliance. You will lead a hands-on team, set the framework for scalable operations, and coordinate with vendors and consultants to deliver resilient, secure IT services.

With 5+ years in hybrid environments, you will manage Azure, M365, and security programs (ISO 27001, GDPR).

Qualifications

• 5+ years running hybrid IT environments across on-premises and cloud.
• Azure (IAM/RBAC, Key Vault, networking, region management), Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online and Windows Server.
• Strong grounding in cyber security best practice with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and GDPR.
• Experience administering an email security gateway / MTA, including DMARC, SPF and DKIM.
• Rolled out MFA and Privileged Access Management in regulated or insured environments.

Responsibilities

• Owns infrastructure, cloud & availability with proactive monitoring and DR planning.
• Oversees M365 stack and end-user tech, licensing and SaaS subscriptions.
• Manages identity, access, and vendor accounts with repeatable access processes.
• Drives cyber security governance, ISO 27001 and GDPR renewals.
• Maintains network diagrams, asset inventory and cloud configuration standards.
• Reports health, risk and progress to leadership and defines multi-year roadmap.
