Sanderson Government & Defence in Cheltenham is seeking an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to own and secure the internal IT estate, including Microsoft 365, AWS, and endpoint management. The role emphasizes building resilience, governance, and secure infrastructure across a varied tech stack.

You will lead security tooling, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with technical teams on research environments and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong systems administration background across Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and identity management platforms.
• Experience withAWS infrastructure and cloud services.
• Networking experience across enterprise and standalone environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux endpoints, including provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Administer Microsoft 365, identity management, SSO, certificates, and user lifecycle processes.
• Maintain and develop AWS cloud infrastructure and supporting business systems.
• Support networking, VoIP, collaboration tech, and infrastructure documentation.
