The Infrastructure & Security Engineer plays a key role in supporting the stability, performance and security of Fenwick’s core technology platforms. Working across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure environments, the role focuses on maintaining reliable services through proactive monitoring, system maintenance, patching and incident resolution, ensuring platforms remain secure, available and performant for the wider business.
Working closely with the Systems Administrator, Cyber Security Officer and wider technology teams, the role also contributes to strengthening Fenwick’s cyber security posture. This includes supporting endpoint security through Microsoft Intune and Defender, assisting with vulnerability remediation, investigating infrastructure and security alerts, and contributing to security hardening and governance across the platform.
Alongside day-to-day operational support, the role supports ongoing infrastructure improvements and modernisation initiatives. This provides the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across cloud infrastructure, security tooling and emerging technologies, while collaborating with internal teams and third‑party partners to continuously improve the organisation’s infrastructure and security capabilities.
