We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead the services that keep these critical operations running securely, reliably and at scale.
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional infrastructure management and play a direct role in supporting the UK's health security. You'll lead a highly skilled team while remaining closely involved in the technical direction and delivery of a complex, enterprise-scale infrastructure environment.
Managing an estate that includes 2,500 compute cores, 10PB of storage, enterprise backup services, network fabric and edge data centre facilities, you'll have the opportunity to shape future infrastructure strategy, drive innovation and ensure the resilience of services that matter.
Reporting to the Head of Network and Infrastructure, this role offers an exciting blend of strategic leadership (40%) and technical expertise (60%), making it ideal for a senior infrastructure professional who enjoys both leading people and solving complex technical challenges.
The role can be based at Porton Down, Colindale or Chilton, with occasional travel between UKHSA sites and attendance at corporate and industry events.
