Franklin Fitch in Coventry is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead a team of infrastructure and network engineers, shaping the next stage of its cloud and on‑premises roadmap. The role offers hybrid working and exposure to a broad technology estate.

You will own the infrastructure strategy, oversee budgets, major incidents, and cloud migration decisions while reporting to the Business Unit General Manager. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience managing a technical team.
• Broad infrastructure experience across networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud.
• Ownership of hybrid infrastructure and cloud migration decisions.
• Evidence of leading major incidents, disaster recovery, projects and budgets.
• Experience with ITIL-aligned controls and security requirements.

IT Infrastructure Manager | Coventry | Hybrid working

Lead a team of infrastructure and network engineers, own a broad technology estate and shape the next stage of its cloud and infrastructure roadmap.

I’m working with an established technology services business looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager in Coventry. Reporting to the Business Unit General Manager, you’ll manage 5+ direct reports and take responsibility for secure, resilient and cost-effective infrastructure services.

The role

• Lead and develop the team, set clear objectives and take accountability for service performance.
• Own the infrastructure strategy and roadmap across networks, servers, storage, virtualisation, cloud and workplace platforms.
• Direct major incidents, controlled change, infrastructure projects and transition into support.
• Strengthen monitoring, backup and tested disaster recovery, security controls and lifecycle planning.
• Lead appropriate cloud adoption, balancing business needs, resilience, security and cost.
• Manage budgets, suppliers, licensing and contracts, with clear reporting to senior stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• At least five years managing a technical team, including formal line management of infrastructure or network engineers.
• Broad infrastructure experience across Cisco routing and switching, Fortinet, HP servers and storage, Veeam, monitoring, VMware, Hyper‑V and Azure.
• Practical ownership of hybrid infrastructure and cloud migration decisions.
• Evidence of leading major incidents, disaster recovery, projects, suppliers and budgets.
• A clear, accountable leadership style and experience working with ITIL‑aligned controls and security requirements.
