Operations and Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to work on Highways England contracts, focusing on maintenance and commissioning activities within designated motorway areas, including the M25, M4, M11, M1, A14, M40, and A1(M).

This role involves working with a supportive team while using your initiative to resolve field issues, including maintenance, installation, cabling, and civils works, ensuring continuous connectivity and protection of national infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Attending to cable faults and repairs on copper and fibre networks.
• Completing commissioning of equipment to standards, on time and within budget.
• Responding to equipment issues in transmission buildings and roadside cabinets, day or night.
• Performing general maintenance, commissioning, and testing of fibre and copper equipment.
• Completing all necessary documentation promptly.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, with fault finding and testing in fibre or copper environments.
