Join us as an Infrastructure Engineer Lead at Barclays, where you will bring to life a new Digital Platform capability by transforming and modernising our digital estate to build a market-leading digital offering with customer experience at its core. This key role involves adopting a Product Operating Model mindset, understanding customer, business, and technical challenges, and supporting the adoption and integration of new technology into various lines of business. Responsibilities include coding in Java, rapid prototyping, and proof of concepts using Java, BDD testing, and Public Cloud (AWS).

The ideal candidate should have:

1. Strong experience with Permissions and Profiles, using policy as code to define permission roles, and familiarity with security paradigms such as Relationship Based Access Control (ReBAC), Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), and Role Based Access Control (RBAC).
2. Expertise in Java, BDD testing concepts, and Public Cloud (AWS).
3. Understanding of authorization and authentication technologies such as Policy as Code, IAM, and IAM solutions like PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS.

Additional desirable skills include:

1. A willingness to challenge norms and disrupt constructively.
2. Strong relationship-building skills, patience, and resilience to change.
3. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This role may require assessment on critical skills such as risk management, controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology expertise.

The position is based in our Glasgow or Knutsford offices.
