Job summary

Redgate Software is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to provision, operate and improve the physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure the company runs on. You’ll work with teams across the business to deliver secure, scalable solutions and drive automation to keep systems reliable.

This role offers hybrid working between home and the Cambridge office, with AI-enabled tooling and opportunities to own systems from design through incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, operating or supporting traditional infrastructure.
• Scripting to automate tasks and improve repeatability.
• Troubleshooting across network, compute, storage and OS in production.
• AI-enabled tooling for diagnosis and delivery of work.
• Able to own systems with independent and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Provision, operate and improve physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.
• Own Redgate’s local networks, including WiFi, switches, firewalls and internet connections.
• Use PowerShell or similar to automate repeatable tasks and support monitoring and backups.
• Serve as escalation point for complex infra incidents and coordinate with suppliers and security teams.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions and advocate standardization where appropriate.
