Job summary

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and cyber recovery platforms. You will help ensure the availability, resilience, and recoverability of critical services for the DVLA.

This permanent, full-time role offers flexible working options, generous pension contributions, and on-site facilities including nursery, restaurants and a coffee bar.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting and maintaining infrastructure related services to ensure they remain reliable, secure and available to users.
• Contributed to the delivery and continuous improvement of infrastructure related services, supporting routine maintenance, monitoring and recovery activities.
• Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers to resolve technical issues and deliver effective infrastructure related solutions.
• Experience of implementation infrastructure related changes and service improvements, helping to meet business and user needs.
• Supported and developed technical documentation, procedures and recovery processes.
• Experience of resolving infrastructure related incidents, identifying opportunities to improve services and reducing future disruption.

Salary: £40,590 – Employer pension contribution of 28.97% of your salary

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help support and maintain the DVLA's enterprise storage, backup, and cyber recovery platforms. The role is important in helping to ensure the availability, resilience, and recoverability of critical services, supporting business continuity and data protection requirements.
