PayPoint Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to help stabilise and improve IT infrastructure while advancing cloud and automation initiatives. The role focuses on automation, on-premise and cloud services, and security/compliance across PCI DSS and ISO27001.
You'll work in a hybrid setup with some travel to our offices in Liverpool (2–3 days per week). The ideal candidate has strong Windows and Linux experience, plus familiarity with VMWare, Azure Stack, and scripting.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure Team as an Infrastructure Engineer to help us drive stability and improvements to our PayPoint Group's IT Infrastructure while we continue to push forward with our next gen cloud technology and automation goals.
The Infrastructure Engineer will ensure automation of tasks is at the forefront of their thinking to enhance speed of deployment of new project work or existing improvements to the infrastructure.
The ideal person will have a proven track record in the installation, support and maintenance of advanced Windows and Linux Technologies and be able to demonstrate management of incidents through to resolution. They will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Infrastructure services to an elevated level for On-Premise, and In-Cloud technologies. Previous experience of working in the financial sector or the ability to provide examples of working in a service critical environment are advantageous.
As an Infrastructure Engineer they will be responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure Services meet all regulatory requirements, namely PCI DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Security Essentials. This will include the introduction of standards to ensure conformity within the PayPoint environment.
Proven Production Support or Project Delivery experience
Proven ability to document and explain designs
Detail orientated with strong written and verbal communication skills
The majority of this role will be (Hybrid) and will require some travel to our bright and modern offices in Liverpool. (2 - 3 days a week)
