Job summary

Made4Tech Global is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Support Specialist to join a long-established manufacturing business modernising its IT function. You’ll manage Hyper‑V, Active Directory, networks and Microsoft 365, while delivering hands-on user support across sites.

Working in a small team, you’ll be onsite about three days a week, drive security improvements and practical fixes, and build strong relationships with users and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across Hyper‑V, Active Directory, core networking, cyber security fundamentals and Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to remote desktop tooling, server monitoring, SSO, Sophos firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki access points, Veeam or desktop OS deployment would be useful but not essential.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business as it continues to modernise its IT function. The role offers a broad mix of infrastructure, systems and user support work, with the chance to make a visible impact rather than simply maintain a mature environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working across a broad mix of infrastructure maintenance, project activity and hands-on Helpdesk support.
• Supporting users directly while also contributing to improvements across servers, networks, security and Microsoft 365.
• Covering infrastructure including Hyper‑V, Active Directory, cyber security, WAN/LAN networking, and Microsoft 365.
• Working as part of a small IT function supporting users across multiple sites, with occasional travel when needed.

Tech Environment

You’ll need strong experience across Hyper‑V, Active Directory, core networking, cyber security fundamentals and Microsoft 365.

Additional exposure to remote desktop tooling, server monitoring, SSO, Sophos firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki access points, Veeam or desktop OS deployment would be useful, but is not essential.

What Success Looks Like

In the first few months, success will mean getting up to speed with the environment, building strong working relationships with the wider team, supporting users effectively, and proactively identifying infrastructure improvements before they become bigger issues.

Reports to IT Manager

Onsite requirement Around 3 days per week onsite, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Salary Up to c. £45,000
