Job summary

SearchWorks in London is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join a FinTech. You will own production environments, monitor, deploy pipelines, and collaborate with Platform Engineering. The role requires strong AWS/Azure experience, production cloud operations background, and proactive ownership.

Occasional out-of-hours work may be needed. Join a growing FinTech with a focus on reliability, observability, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS and/or Azure operational experience.

• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

• Occasional out-of-hours deployments/support.

Cloud Operations Engineer | FinTech | London | Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Currently recruiting for a Cloud Ops Engineer to join a growing financial technology business.

This is NOT a pure DevOps or Platform Engineering role. If you're primarily focused on building Terraform modules or greenfield platforms, this probably won't be the right fit. If you're a Cloud Operations Engineer who enjoys owning production environments, solving complex issues and keeping critical systems running, I'd love to hear from you!

You’ll be responsible for:

• Monitoring, observability & alerting
• CI/CD and deployment pipelines
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Cloud migrations & customer onboarding
• End-to-end investigation of application and infrastructure issues
• Supporting customer-facing, mission-critical environments
• Working closely with Platform Engineering teams

Looking for someone with:

• Strong AWS and/or Azure operational experience
• Experience running production cloud environments
• Cloud Operations, Hosted Operations or SRE background
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Monitoring/observability experience
• A genuine ownership mindset when production issues arise
• Comfortable with occasional out-of-hours deployments/support

Nice to have: FinTech/financial services, Datadog, cloud migrations, cost optimisation or enterprise customer onboarding experience.
