Job summary

Mondrian Alpha is seeking a mid-to-senior Cloud SRE & DevOps Engineer to shape the next generation of its London‑based platform. You will design scalable AWS infrastructure, operate Kubernetes environments, and drive production reliability across multi‑cloud and data‑intensive workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable AWS infrastructure supporting critical investment technology.
• Engineer highly available Kubernetes environments using EKS, Docker and Helm.
• Build reusable, production-grade infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Contribute to hybrid/multi-cloud strategy across AWS and Azure.
• Improve performance, resilience, security and scalability of the cloud platform.
• Take end-to-end ownership of systems running in production.

A world-class global investment firm is building out its London Cloud SRE & DevOps Engineering capability and is looking for an exceptional mid-to-senior engineer to help shape the next generation of its technology platform.

This is not a ticket-driven support position. You will design platforms, automate infrastructure, solve difficult production problems and directly influence how engineering teams build and deploy software across the firm.

What you will own

Cloud and platform engineering

• Design, build and operate scalable AWS infrastructure supporting critical investment technology
• Engineer highly available Kubernetes environments using EKS, Docker and Helm
• Build reusable, production-grade infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
• Contribute to the firm’s hybrid and multi-cloud strategy across AWS and Azure
• Improve the performance, resilience, security and scalability of the wider cloud platform

SRE and production engineering

• Take end-to-end ownership of systems running in production
• Solve complex problems across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking and distributed systems
• Improve availability, observability, incident response and operational maturity

CI/CD and developer enablement

• Design and evolve modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and comparable tooling
• Advance GitOps practices using technologies such as Argo CD
• Create automated, standardised and self-service capabilities for engineering teams

Data and emerging workloads

• Support cloud-based database platforms including Snowflake, Aurora and Microsoft SQL Server
• Automate Snowflake configuration and delivery through CI/CD pipelines
• Help engineer scalable infrastructure for AI, machine learning and data-intensive applications
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including LLM services, vector databases and GPU-based environments, where they can create genuine value
