Job summary

Oho Group is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer on a contract basis to maintain and improve critical IT infrastructure. The role covers Linux, servers, networking, storage, and automation, with hands-on responsibilities and exposure to a range of technologies.

Key requirements include Red Hat Linux expertise (RHCE/RHEL 8/9), server build/config, and experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt. This position is based in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat Linux environments and RHCE/RHEL is essential.
• Strong server build and configuration capabilities across Linux hosts.
• Networking basics including TCP/IP, LDAP, NIS and DHCP.
• Experience with NFS or enterprise storage systems.
• Familiarity with license management tools such as FlexLM is a plus.
• Proficiency with automation/configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt.

• Support infrastructure automation and configuration management.

• Help maintain system security, reliability and capacity.

Key Requirements

• Strong Red Hat Linux experience – ideally RHCE / RHEL 8 or 9.
• Server build and configuration experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LDAP, NIS and DHCP.
• Experience with NFS / enterprise storage.
• FlexLM experience is desirable.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt.
• Knowledge of Slurm, Grid Engine, LSF or similar is advantageous.
