Opportunity for Infrastructure Designer Professionals

This is an excellent opportunity for Infrastructure Designer professionals to be part of leading-edge technology projects. Cognizant’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Security Services Practice provides end-to-end solutions covering architecture, design, implementation, management, and ongoing support across enterprise technology infrastructure. Our services include management, consulting, and systems integration to help clients maximize infrastructure value while optimizing performance and cost.

Responsibilities

1. Create and develop high-level and detailed infrastructure designs.
2. Assess infrastructure costs within approved solutions.
3. Develop adoption roadmaps, reusable design patterns, standards, and hardware/software Standard Operating Environments (SOE).
4. Develop operational and use case models for new technologies.
5. Ensure design governance to maintain reliability, quality, and adherence to architectural strategies and roadmaps.
6. Provide consultancy during project estimation, including person-day costs, high-level design, and impact analysis.

Required Skills

1. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
2. Support the rationale behind financial cost estimates for projects.
3. Effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Technical experience supporting design and architectural governance, including:

• Services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
• Virtualisation: VMWare ESXi
• Desktop: Windows
• Cloud & Azure knowledge

Support and deliver continuous improvement within organizational capabilities.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience designing solutions in financial services to meet critical business needs.
2. Knowledge of agile and traditional waterfall development environments.
