Job summary

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited in Sheffield seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead a multidisciplinary design team across infrastructure projects. You will oversee concept through construction support, ensuring deliverables meet codes, standards, and client requirements.

The role demands strong leadership, collaboration with PMs and clients, and a focus on budget, schedule, and risk management. A PE license and 8–10 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• PE license or equivalent accreditation highly preferred.
• 8–10 years of infrastructure design experience, with 3–5 years in leadership.
• Proven track record on roads, bridges, water/wastewater and urban projects.
• Strong knowledge of design codes and standards (IS, BS, AASHTO, Eurocodes).
• Experience with design software listed and a proactive leader.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of design engineers and drafters.
• Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept to construction support.
• Ensure deliverables meet project requirements, standards, and quality.
• Collaborate with PMs, clients, stakeholders to define scope and design parameters.
• Conduct technical reviews and approvals of drawings, specs, calculations, reports.
• Identify and mitigate design risks; implement corrective solutions.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver on time and within cost.
• Stay updated on design technologies; improve processes and outcomes.
• Prepare design progress reports and technical documentation for clients and management.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance in all design activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

Master's degree preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
