Job summary

Candour is seeking an experienced infrastructure consultant to design, implement, and support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud solutions for diverse clients. You will help deploy migrations, upgrades, and modernisation projects under guidance from senior consultants.

The role emphasizes building robust virtualization, server, networking, and Microsoft infrastructure platforms, plus maintaining core services like AD, DNS, DHCP, and backups. Strong communication and a proactive learner will thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or implementing infrastructure solutions in enterprise or mid-sized environments.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure components and their cross-domain interactions.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Understanding of networking concepts including switching, routing, wireless networking, and network security.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies, ideally including Veeam.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Relevant certifications (or willingness to pursue) such as Microsoft, VMware, or networking certs.
• Proactive approach to learning and career development in infrastructure consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, and modernisation projects under senior consultants.
• Build and support virtualization, server, networking, and Microsoft infrastructure platforms.
• Help configure and maintain core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure, networking, and end-user computing environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and customer handover materials.
• Work closely with project teams, service teams, vendors, and customers to deliver successful outcomes.
• Develop your technical and consultancy skills through hands-on project work, mentoring, and industry training.
