Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer for a hybrid role based in Leatherhead, Surrey. The position focuses on project work (about 70%) and reactive 3rd line support (about 30%) within a large enterprise IT environment serving thousands of users.

You will work with Azure, M365, Defender, Intune, Exchange/SMTP, and Zero Trust technologies, ensuring security, compliance, and smooth IT operations across the estate.

Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Leatherhead, Surrey (2-3 days onsite)
Contract: Inside IR35
Day rate: Up to £540 per day
Duration: 6 months (likely to extend)

Our Client requires an experienced Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join their existing join the Cloud Services team. This is an Infrastructure Engineering role working in a large Enterprise environment with circa 5500 users and an extensive Cloud footprint. This role is primary project based with around 70% of your time being dedicated to project work and 30% being dedicated to reactive support.

Technical Skills

• - Have existing knowledge of the following technologies: -
  • o Azure
  • o Microsoft 365
  • o Microsoft Defender (for Cloud, O365, Identity & Email)
  • o Intune Device Management
  • o Exchange/SMTP/365 messaging support & administration
  • o Zero trust technologies such as Zscaler,
  • o Windows 11 and Windows server.
• Investigate and resolve 3rd line support issues, working closely with suppliers when required.
• Maintain and support the IT Infrastructure in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Support change delivery utilising an ITIL service management framework
• Have demonstratable experience in larger scale environments (1000+ users).
• Knowledge of IT Security and compliance policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of automation is beneficial using tools such as Copilot and PowerShell.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Lead role in managing suppliers and ensuring that we get the best value and performance with them.
