Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects in Swindon is seeking a procurement and strategic sourcing leader to shape global procurement and category strategies for electrical, mechanical, modular infrastructure, and long‑lead equipment.

You will drive supplier selection, negotiations, risk management, and capacity planning while partnering with Engineering, Construction, Planning, Quality and Operations to deliver programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure.
• 5–8+ years of experience leading strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier selection activities.
• 5–10 years of experience in commercial negotiations, contracting, pricing agreements, and supplier terms.
• Strong experience managing strategic suppliers, capacity planning, supplier performance, and supply‑chain risk.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global procurement and category strategies for electrical, mechanical, modular infrastructure, and long-lead equipment.
• Lead strategic sourcing, RFPs, competitive bidding, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure capacity, quality, cost competitiveness, and on-time delivery.
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, pricing structures, supplier terms, and long-term contracts.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing capacity, proposals, quality performance, and delivery reliability.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Planning, Quality, and Operations teams to support program execution.
• Develop capacity‑planning strategies and secure supply for critical and long‑lead equipment.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks, supplier constraints, and delivery or quality issues.
• Monitor supplier and contract performance while leading escalations and corrective actions when needed.
• Drive cost optimization, continuous improvement, and strategic procurement recommendations for key stakeholders.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience managing global supplier networks and complex technical sourcing programs.

$80,000 - $120,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
