Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Assistant Benchmarking Estimator to join our team. The role focuses on collecting and validating cost, time and carbon data from major infrastructure projects, and integrating benchmarking data into preconstruction and delivery workflows.

You will work with preconstruction and delivery teams to ensure data quality, support automated data collection, and help refine benchmarking processes for more frequent benchmarking cycles across transport and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyse cost, time and carbon data from major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in benchmarking, estimating or preconstruction data handling would be beneficial.
• Strong collaboration and communication across teams to ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collate cost and production data from projects to generate reliable benchmarks.
• Check and validate benchmarks to ensure consistency with benchmarking structure.
• Capture and record engineering data for assets benchmarked; prepare templates for upload.
• Support automated data collection processes and data structuring improvements.
• Assist preconstruction and delivery teams by providing relevant benchmarking data for estimates and planning.
