Job summary

Nub News is seeking an Infrastructure Backup and Storage Analyst to manage and support enterprise backup, recovery and storage infrastructure in Warwick. The role focuses on data protection, DR readiness, and high availability for critical systems, with SLAs and security controls in place.

The successful candidate will configure backup solutions, perform recovery testing, manage SAN/NAS, and document storage assets.

We have a great opportunity for an Infrastructure Backup and storage analyst to join the team.The Infrastructure Backup and Storage Analyst is responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise backup, recovery, and storage infrastructure. The role ensures data protection, storage optimization, disaster recovery readiness, and high availability of business-critical systems while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and service level agreements (SLAs).Key Responsibilities* Manage and support enterprise backup solutions (Veritas NetBackup).* Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup and restore operations.* Perform regular backup validation and recovery testing.* Tape rotation.* Ensure successful completion of scheduled backups and resolve failures promptly.* Develop and maintain backup policies, schedules, and retention requirements.* Administer SAN, NAS.* Provision, allocate, and manage storage resources for Servers and applications.* Monitor storage capacity, utilization, and performance.* Perform storage expansion, migration, and optimization activities.* Maintain storage documentation and asset inventory.* Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity* Support disaster recovery planning and execution.* Conduct backup restoration drills and recovery testing.* Ensure recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) are achieved.* Participate in business continuity initiatives.Key Skills/knowledge/experience: * Support creation of build and configuration documents Storage (PowerMax 2000 & 8000) and Backup (HP Store Once & Veritas)* Monitor backup and storage infrastructure health.* Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets.* Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.* Provide L2/L3 technical support and escalation handling.* Security & Compliance* Ensure backup data security through encryption and access controls.* Support audit and compliance requirements.* Implement storage and backup best practices.* Maintain adherence to organizational security standards.* Documentation & Reporting.Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: * Excellent stakeholder management at all levels* Enterprise Data Centers* VMware & Hyper-V Infrastructure* Microsoft Azure/AWS Cloud* Storage Area Networks (SAN)* Disaster Recovery Solutions* Backup Automation and Monitoring ToolsThis is an excellent opportunity on a great project of work, If you are looking for your next exciting opportunity, apply now for your CV to reach me directly, we will respond as soon as possible.
