A leading telecommunications company in the UK is seeking an engineer for their Client Devices Infrastructure Team. The role involves building automation racks, validating infrastructure setups, and tackling user-reported issues. Ideal candidates will possess strong networking knowledge, familiarity with OLT/ONT platforms, and relevant design skills. Qualifications

• Design full rack layouts based on user requirements.
• Proficient in diagramming tools for architecture diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of OLT and ONT platforms operational behavior.
• Understanding of GPON/EPON concepts and provisioning.
• Experience with vCenter, ESXi, networking and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation racks for CPEs.
• Validate infrastructure setups using automation tools.
• Design and implement CI pipelines and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues reported by users.

Skills

Design full rack layouts

Proficiency with Draw.io, Lucidchart, Visio

Knowledge of OLT and ONT platforms

Familiarity with Nokia ISAM

Understanding of GPON/EPON concepts

Experienced with vCenter and ESXi

Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking

Ability to configure and troubleshoot firewalls

Solid understanding of routing concepts
