Job summary

Mansfield District Council is seeking an Infrastructure, Projects and Assets Manager to lead a broad remit across Neighbourhood Services, aligning park, asset and depot/waste facilities projects with compliance and performance targets.

The role requires strategic and hands-on delivery of projects, staff leadership, budget control, and adherence to health and safety legislation, with occasional out-of-hours work and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is essential.
• WAMITAB Level 4 Certificate of Technical Competence in Managing Transfer of Hazardous Waste or working towards it.
• Chartered Management Institute membership or working towards it.
• A leadership, management, coaching or mentoring qualification or equivalent significant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and delivery of projects and programmes linked to parks, allotments and other assets, including asset development and compliance.
• Lead staff, manage budgets and resources, maintain health and safety standards, and use performance information to drive improvement.
• Support service plans, policies and wider strategies within Neighbourhood Services.
