Job summary

LA International is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to design and implement high-assurance VMware-based IaaS and cloud solutions. You will configure VCF, NSX-T, VCD and VCD-A, with automation via vRO, and ensure secure, air-gapped patching and disaster recovery capabilities.

The role requires a strong background in VMware technologies, scripting skills (PowerShell/Python) and experience in Agile engineering environments. DV clearance is essential or in-scope for security clearance processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise VMware infrastructure and IaaS solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Extensive NSX-T experience, including software-defined networking and security.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere architecture and virtualization technologies.
• Strong experience with VMware Cloud Director (VCD), including virtual data centres and networking.
• Experience integrating VMware Aria Operations with VCF environments.
• Knowledge of VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCD-A), disaster recovery and workload mobility.
• Experience with VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) and infrastructure automation.
• Experience designing secure, air-gapped infrastructure and offline patching solutions.
• Strong scripting experience using PowerShell or Python.

• Integrate VMware infrastructure with existing enterprise systems and technologies.
• Provide technical expertise across testing, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Support VMware infrastructure and Omnissa Horizon VDI environments.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs, architectural diagrams, docs and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Agile teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery.

Infrastructure Architect Responsibilities

Infrastructure Architect Skills and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.


• VMware certifications such as VCP or VCAP would be highly advantageous.
