Job Description:

Job Title: Infrastructure Architect - Manufacturing OT

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire – Home/Office

We are looking for an Infrastructure Architect from a strong manufacturing background with specific knowledge of manufacturing IT systems and environments for an 18-month contract.

The role will be hybrid-based with travel to Kettering for at least one day per week to work with the team and within the environment. Additional on-site days may be required during different project phases.

The Role

Work on the OT programme to provide capabilities across the Infrastructure and Network workstreams:

• Understand, document, and agree on business requirements.
• Review existing information and conduct discovery of the OT environment to create a comprehensive AS-IS view of the current architecture.
• Create architectural artifacts in line with governance, including HLD and LLD documents.
• Collaborate with the project manager to define and plan activities, create work packages/runbooks, and track progress.
• Work with third parties to evaluate solutions, define requirements, and review SOWs.
• Implement governance for ongoing control of OT architecture, defining roles and responsibilities.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, address concerns, and meet their needs.

What we are looking for:

• Experience as an Infrastructure Architect in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Industrial control systems, cybersecurity frameworks like IEC 62443, NIST (CSF), and SANS CIS controls.
• Expertise in developing and implementing OT security programs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technology systems.

Additional desired experience:

• Experience in mature architecture governance, producing design artifacts.
• Experience delivering digital transformation projects like Industry 4.0 or Smart Factory.
• Experience as an architect in large business change programs.
• IT infrastructure knowledge including Microsoft, VMware, SAN, networking.

The role duration is 18 months and is assessed to be outside of IR35.
