Infrastructure Architect - Manufacturing OT

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect with a strong manufacturing background, specific knowledge of manufacturing IT systems, for an 18-month contract. The role is hybrid-based, requiring travel to Kettering at least once a week, with potential for additional on-site days during different project phases.

Role Responsibilities

1. Work on the OT programme to enhance infrastructure and network capabilities.
2. Understand, document, and agree on business requirements.
3. Review existing information and conduct discovery to create a comprehensive AS-IS architecture view.
4. Produce architectural artifacts in line with governance frameworks, including HLD and LLD documents.
5. Collaborate with the project manager to plan activities, create work packages/runbooks, and track progress.
6. Evaluate new solutions with third parties, define requirements, and review SOWs.
7. Implement governance frameworks for ongoing OT architecture control.
8. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and address concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Infrastructure Architect in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, SANS CIS).
• Proven expertise in developing and delivering OT security programs.
• Understanding of manufacturing technology systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within mature architecture governance settings.
• Delivering digital transformation projects like Industry 4.0 or Smart Factory.
• Role experience in large business change programs.
• IT infrastructure knowledge (Microsoft, VMware, SAN, networking).

This role is outside IR35 and is for 18 months.
