Job summary

VIQU IT is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect for a 6-month contract in Glasgow, to design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions across global environments and to support office moves across 50+ offices.

You will own High- and Low-Level Designs, collaborate with networking, security and workplace tech teams, and ensure governance and alignment with enterprise standards. Onsite two days a week in Glasgow, with potential Asia/US calls.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect/Infrastructure Solutions Architect in a global enterprise
• Strong infra and systems knowledge across servers, networking, cloud, virtualization and integration
• End-to-end infra delivery across multiple regions
• Experience designing solutions for large-scale infra, transformation or office moves
• Proven ability to produce and maintain HLD and LLD documents
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure and systems
• Experience with workplace tech is beneficial but not essential
• Familiarity with collaboration tools, AV and global printing solutions is advantageous
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Job description

Infrastructure Architect 6-month contract Glasgow

Our longstanding customer in the legal sector is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join their IT team. This role focuses on designing and delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions, with involvement across global system delivery and office move projects (over 50 offices globally) running until 2030.

The successful Infrastructure Architect will play a key role in shaping infrastructure solutions, producing high- and low-level designs, and ensuring seamless integration of systems across international environments.

Skills & Experience Required from the Infrastructure Architect:

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect / Infrastructure Solutions Architect within a global enterprise environment
• Strong general infrastructure and systems experience, ideally across areas such as servers, networking, cloud, virtualisation and systems integration
• Strong track record in end-to-end infrastructure delivery across multiple regions
• Experience designing and delivering solutions as part of large-scale infrastructure, transformation or office move projects
• Strong expertise in producing and maintaining HLD and LLD documentation
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure and systems
• Experience working with wider workplace technologies would be beneficial, but is not essential
• Familiarity with collaboration tools, AV, NAC, CCTV and global printing solutions would be advantageous
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Key Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Architect:

• Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions across global office locations
• Own and produce High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD)
• Support the architecture and delivery of global office move and infrastructure projects
• Take ownership of existing systems, reviewing and updating architecture documentation as required
• Ensure consistency, scalability and compliance across global deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, networking, security and workplace technology specialists
• Support the project lifecycle from concept through to delivery and continuous improvement
• Provide technical governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
• There might be some early/late calls to cover Asia/US markets

The Infrastructure Architect is required to be onsite 2 days a week in Glasgow.
