Perceptive Discovery in Hammersmith, West London is seeking an IT Team Leader to combine hands-on technology work with leadership responsibilities. You will guide a small onsite IT team, own important projects and collaborate with our US operation to keep systems secure and reliable.

Qualifications

• Strong IT infrastructure or support background.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and backups.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive approach with ownership and improvement drive.
• Experience in regulated environments is advantageous, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor a small onsite IT team with leadership development.
• Own IT projects and collaborate with onsite colleagues and US operations.
• Ensure critical IT systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• Contribute ideas to improve services, reduce risk and enhance UX.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting and mentoring a small onsite IT team, with coaching and guidance to develop your leadership and management skills
• Taking ownership of IT projects, working closely with colleagues onsite and with our US operation
• Helping ensure our critical IT systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
• Contributing ideas that improve services, reduce risk and enhance user experience
• Remaining hands-on with technology while broadening your leadership responsibilities

What we're looking for
