We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mandarin Speaking IT Support Officer a prestigious banking organisation in Central London. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows desktop support, basic networking, and Windows deployment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-User Support: Provide desktop support for Windows 10/11 systems, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and Microsoft Office Suite issues.
  • Peripheral Management: Set up, configure, and maintain printers and other peripheral devices.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Provide basic support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and Entra ID, resolving user issues and ensuring smooth integration.
  • System Deployment: Deploy and configure Windows operating systems using Windows Deployment Services (WDS) or similar tools, following security and compliance standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with the tracking and maintenance of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Network Support: Perform basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), manage user access, and configure network printers.
  • Helpdesk Operations: Respond to and resolve support tickets promptly through the company helpdesk system, escalating when necessary.
  • User Training: Deliver basic training to end-users on IT systems and tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Manager on infrastructure improvements, updates, and technology rollouts.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT security policies, especially during system deployment and configuration.
  • Hands-on knowledge of printer and peripheral device setup and maintenance.
  • Basic administration of Microsoft 365 (e.g., Exchange Online, Entra ID).
  • Experience with Windows Deployment Services (WDS) or similar OS deployment tools.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple support tasks.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to assist non-technical users.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive and service-focused approach.
  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, particularly financial services.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, including user account management and group policy.
  • Awareness of basic cybersecurity practices for desktop and network environments.

Qualifications

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certifications, Cisco CCNA).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
