Are you passionate about IT and ready to take your career to the next level? Looking for a role where you can grow your skills while making a real difference in education? We’re recruiting a Trainee IT Network Manager to join a supportive school trust environment where technology is key to success.

You’ll work closely with experienced IT professionals to manage and support a wide range of systems and devices across multiple school sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid IT support experience who’s ready to step into a more strategic and hands-on infrastructure-focused role.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure across the trust (servers, networks, end-user devices)
• Managing user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Google Workspace
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and students
• Assisting with rolling out upgrades, updates, and new technologies
• Supporting school events and ensuring minimal downtime across all IT systems
• Liaising with external suppliers and IT partners when needed

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a school or education setting is highly desirable
• Hands-on knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
• Understanding of Windows Server, AD, Intune, SCCM, and basic networking (Cisco/Meraki)
• A clear communicator with a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset
• Someone keen to learn, grow, and potentially step into a full Network Manager role in the future

Desirable qualifications (not essential):

• CompTIA A+ / Network+
• Microsoft or Google certifications
• ITIL Foundation
• Degree or diploma in IT (or working towards one)
