Are you an experienced IT Manager ready to lead and optimise IT infrastructure? My client is seeking an IT Systems / Infrastructure Manager to spearhead their IT operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a fantastic opportunity to manage a small IT team (4 people) and evolve their IT landscape to support current and future business needs.

• 100% Office Based / Nottingham City Centre

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT team (4 people) to provide support and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure (on-premises and some cloud).
• Oversee IT projects, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Ensure the security and integrity of IT infrastructure and networks in collaboration with third-party contractors.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues; oversee hardware and software installations.
• Maintain and upgrade servers; develop IT procedures and practices.
• Provide first and second-line IT support to internal departments.
• Manage relationships with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for infrastructure products and services.
• Manage telecom, security, and alarm providers; audit service levels; negotiate contracts for senior management approval.
• Ensure secure and regular backups of all systems.
• Implement robust security measures against cyber threats.
• Oversee site-specific installations, including new store systems and PC replacements.
• Mentor and guide junior IT team members.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop IT strategies and plans.
• Implement and maintain Service Desk best practices.
• Create and maintain user manuals, system documentation, and licensing agreements.
• Prepare budgets for capital expenditure projects.
• Develop IT policies and disaster recovery plans; monitor software and hardware usage.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, legislative, and company policies.
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for support.
• Provide reports and information to management and departments as needed.
