Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Technology Delivery Engineering Manager to join their Technology Delivery leadership team. This is a pivotal role responsible for the successful delivery and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-grade database and API development projects, with a strong focus on backend integration and iPaaS solutions.
This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight, ensuring scalable, secure, and well-integrated systems that support key business functions. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers, manage complex technical projects, and collaborate closely with architecture, infrastructure, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of backend and integration engineers to deliver robust API services and integration pipelines using modern iPaaS tools.
- Translate solution designs into scalable and practical implementations in collaboration with Solution Architects.
- Act as the primary interface between development and operations, ensuring smooth project handovers and support readiness.
- Drive the delivery of complex integration and application projects, upholding high standards of performance, security, and reliability.
- Champion both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to plan, track, and optimise team workflows and project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure clear communication and aligned expectations.
- Contribute to strategic planning for integration and API roadmaps, aligning capabilities with business goals and evolving technologies.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams delivering backend services and API integrations.
- Strong background in project delivery within agile and waterfall environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS, including financial operations and data security.
- Knowledge of iPaaS and automation tools (e.g., SnapLogic), modern cloud architecture, and backup systems.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Expertise in service management, change and incident management, capacity planning, and problem resolution.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and service delivery standards (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience in delivering scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions across a portfolio of projects.
- Relevant project management and/or service management certifications are desirable.
